Julian Assange Hints Murdered DNC Staffer Source For Leaked Emails

Julian Assange hints that murdered Democratic National Committee aide Seth Rich was Wikileaks' source for the leaked DNC email scandal. On the morning of July 8, Rich, who was involved with Democratic outreach, was walking and talking to his girlfriend on the phone. He was then beaten, shot, and killed. Police are at a loss as to why the killer(s) took nothing from him, leaving behind his wallet, watch, and phone. As of now, DC's Metropolitan Police department have reported there are no updates on the case.

Not long after Redditors and social media users were themselves pursuing some "lead" saying that Rich was on his way to a meeting with the FBI regarding an ongoing court case possibly involving the Clinton family. No such case has been found.

On Tuesday, Wikileaks announced via Twitter that they are issuing $20,000 for "information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich." Then, in an interview with a Dutch news program, Julian Assange hints at a connection between Wikileaks and Seth Rich:

"Julian Assange: Whistleblowers go to significant efforts to get us material and often very significant risks. As a 27 year-old, works for the DNC, was shot in the back, murdered just a few weeks ago for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street in Washington.

Reporter: That was just a robbery, I believe. Wasn’t it?

Julian Assange: No. There’s no finding. So… I’m suggesting that our sources take risks."
